Sneaking a Peek of the Olympics at Work
It’s Day Five of the 17-day 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. While running on the treadmill at the gym earlier this evening, I watched some local news on the TV connected to the treadmill.
A local NBC news reporter spent about thirty seconds explaining how you can watch exclusive videos of the Olympics online, and that there was no need to worry if you were at work.
The punchline was that there was a “Boss” button that if clicked, would open up a spreadsheet. Of course, I had to see for myself, and sure enough, it’s true. It’s very fun and funny, at least to me.
If you want to check it out also, go to the NBC Olympics page and click on any video clip. Once the actual video begins, the “Boss” button will work as indicated.
In the image above, I’ve drawn a red arrow pointing to the “Boss” button.
But be warned – the “Boss” button won’t work during the brief commercial that’s played before the video clip. Ha!
