Buzzing Your Career Brand
Google launched a social networking service called “Buzz” last week (Feb. 9, to be exact) for all Gmail users.
Within days, users had already made millions of posts and comments. Not surprisingly, it’s become quite the hot topic among both the social media and mainstream media camps as the headlines seem to focus on how Google Buzz is directly taking on Facebook. In its brief existence, Google has already implemented changes to Buzz. And user reviews continue to pour in.
Millions have posted personal information on the big social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and YouTube. We can now add Google Buzz to the mix.
It’ll be interesting to keep on eye on its growth in the near future. If you are already using Buzz, consider treating it like you would with any other social networking site with respect to your online image and reputation. That is, be thoughtful about what you share online.
