SJSU Fall 2023 Updates: Virtual Cal State Apply Workshops, Fall Preview Day for Prospective Students
Here’s a recent message, in part, for prospective students from San José State University‘s Student Outreach and Recruitment Office:
As you are aware, the Cal State Apply application opened on October 1, 2023. For more information about our 134+ majors and concentrations as well as admissions requirements and Fall 2024 deadlines, please refer students to check out our new Virtual Steps to Admissions digital brochure.
To assist students with the application, our Student Outreach and Recruitment team will be hosting, once again, a series of virtual Cal State Apply Workshops from mid October through late November.
Below are some of our upcoming dates and times with this Thursday October 12 from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm being the first opportunity for your students to seek assistance with the application and get their SJSU related questions answered by our team.

SJSU Fall Preview Day | Friday October 27 from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm
We are excited to showcase our wonderful campus and invite your students/families/guests to our first SJSU Fall Preview Day event in years on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm.
SJSU Fall Preview Day is an excellent opportunity for your students and guests to explore the numerous academic programs, vibrant campus life, and endless possibilities that San José State University has to offer. The event aims to provide insights into the unique experiences and resources that await your students on our campus, helping them make informed decisions about their future education. Our main target audience are for high school Seniors and transfer ready community college students ready to apply for Fall 2024 but we welcome all cohorts of students to visit us and partake in this event.
During Fall Preview Day, attendees will have the chance to:
- Meet and hear from our university leadership at our Event Welcome.
- Attend informative presentations highlighting various academic departments and programs as part of our wonderful academic colleges
- Lucas College and Graduate School of Business
- Connie L. Lurie College of Education
- Charles W Davidson College of Engineering
- College of Health and Human Sciences
- College of Humanities and the Arts
- College of Sciences
- Engage in interactive sessions and a campus wide resource fair
- Take guided tours of our campus and see all of our wonderful facilities
- Experience first-hand our exciting campus life including our dynamic facilities such as University Housing, the Spartan Recreation and Aquatic Center and our Diaz Compean Student Union.
- Meet current students, staff, and educators who will be available to answer any questions you might have.
This event will be an invaluable opportunity for students to gain a comprehensive understanding of life at San José State University and prepare for the next step in their educational journey.
